Thohoyandou – In a one-sided affair at the Block G soccer ground on Friday, the 29th, Block G outclassed Maposa Masters, securing a resounding 6-1 victory in the Knock-out Masters challenge.
Though Maposa Masters managed a consolation goal in the second half courtesy of Phanuell Mathebula, it was insufficient to stem the tide of Block G’s dominance.
Moving forward, the four teams that made to semifinals beckon were Ngovhela, Mukula Masters, and Mulenzhe Masters emerging victorious in their respective clashes. Ngovhela secured a narrow 1-0 win over Makovha Masters, while Mukula Masters advanced after a tense penalty shootout, defeating Roma 10-9. Mulenzhe Masters secured their spot with a convincing 2-0 win over TSHANDAMA masters.
Key players such as Matari Netshidzivhe of Mukula Masters and Tshifhiwa Mmbooi of Makovha Masters showcased their talent and leadership during the matches, adding intrigue to the upcoming semifinal fixtures scheduled for Sunday.
