The Magoma Foundation hosted a thrilling Under-17 boys’ soccer tournament at the Maungani Sports ground , on June 16. The event, aimed at encouraging young people to embrace sports instead of drugs and alcohol, saw intense competition among four teams: Miluwani Youth Development Academy, Duthuni Development Academy, Beauster Mighty Chiefs and Tshikunda Youth Academy.

The Miluwani youths emerged victorious, taking home coveted cup after a series of fierce matches.
Tshifhiwa Magoma, the founder of the Magoma Foundation and the convener of the tournament expressed his gratitude the way that particular tournament go about. “We are very overwhelmed to see young ones engaged and committed into sports, so, in this case we are winning as an organization which is committed in empowering the youths and the most vulnerable members of our community,” said Magoma.

He also stated the organization’s mission to nurture a love for sports among youngsters as a healthier alternative to substance abuse. Despite their noble cause, the foundation faces financial hurdles and depends on donations to continue their impactful work.
He has made a heartfelt plea to individuals and businesses for support, requesting donations of new or used clothing, food parcels, sanitary towels, and other essentials.
