Ana González Ferrán: Model for the Next Wave of Entrepreneurs and Mama Coaches

At every stage of their career or parental journey, moms may get assistance from MAMA Coaching. The goal of Mama Coaching is to enable moms to take on the role of caregiver with more resilience, vigor, and confidence. Its goal is to help moms find their own approaches and ways to deal with hurdles in their personal and professional lives. In today’s competitive and male-dominated environments, it wouldn’t be wrong to argue that mama coaches are modern-day heroes. Ana González Ferrán, the founder and CEO of Mama Coach, is one of these present day heroes.

“I am a mother, businesswoman, mentor, coach, trainer, and teacher who is deeply committed to motherhood and personal development. I studied English philology & became an English teacher at the School of Arts & College of Design in Alicante, Spain. I also did a master’s in Translation. Later in life, I studied for a Master’s in Psychological Intervention with DBM at the University of Valencia, as well as NLP, Coaching, systemic pedagogy, and EFT. When I decided to become an entrepreneur, I studied for a Master’s in Entrepreneurship. I took an early retirement from my teaching career & became a full time entrepreneur & CEO of Mama Coach.” Ana shared in her introduction.

Ana González Ferrán with Mama Coach gives helpful advice specific to a mother’s particular family dynamics, hands-on skills to handle everyday challenges, and a sympathetic ear when things get tough.

Ana’s story is really inspiring. When her baby son was born in 1995 with cerebral palsy, she went on to become a Mama Therapist. She was motivated by this difficulty to co-found the Association of Parents and Special Children of Alicante (APNEA), where parents receive training on how to incorporate their children’s therapy into their daily lives.

With her own children, Ana adopted a mindful parenting style that involved constant learning and personal development. When her oldest son introduced her to a college friend as a “part-time mother and full-time coach,” the moniker “Mama Coach” was born. Mama Coach is the result of her life experiences and teachings, and it embodies her goal of empowering and modernizing today’s moms.

Ana stands out from other professionals in her field thanks to her 35 years of distinguished expertise in Life Coaching, Leadership Development and Training. Her book, Cómo ser mamá y no morir en el intento (How to Be a Mum Without Dying in the Attempt), has become a great source of empowerment for mothers. Each chapter of this life changing book helps mothers develop practical strategies and offers effective tools to improve their relationship with their children.

In addition to being a Mama coach, Ana has successfully managed many enterprises. As a leadership coach and role model for entrepreneurship, she has helped a number of entrepreneurs start and grow their businesses.

Ana’s accomplishments are just too many to list here. She has received several awards, including the Competent Leader Award (2014), the Competent Communicator Award (2014), and the Distinguished Toastmaster Award (2018).

As women comprise half of the world’s population and, in more straightforward terms, half of its potential, they have the capacity to significantly influence economic growth through entrepreneurship by promoting innovation, job creation, and social transformation. Though progress has been made, female entrepreneurs still face several obstacles. Since entrepreneurship is the only path to financial independence
