Within a short period of time after beginning their writing careers, a few female authors have attained significant popularity. Shari R. Sears, a highly skilled woman, is one of the exceptional women authors. Shari’s outstanding work as a Teacher and US Army soldier prior to starting her writing career makes her an inspiration to the next generation of women professionals.

Literature has played a key role in nation-building. The best way to empower and inspire the next generation in today’s increasingly competitive workplace is through literature. Literature may empower and inspire individuals in a variety of ways, including by educating readers, sharing personal stories, giving guidance, raising awareness, and encouraging deeper thinking. It’s quite admirable how committed Shari is to utilizing literature to uplift people.
Shari has two book projects under her belt, the first “Joy 365” with visionary Dr. Vernessa Blackwell and the second “Black Diamond Chronicles” with visionary Dr. Iris Wright. She is also writing her own inspirational book.
Shari’s strong educational background has helped her become the lady she is today. In addition to a variety of other courses, she has a Bachelor’s degree in Business & Administration. She recently finished her Master’s degree in Education: Curriculum & Instruction this past October 2024.
She is a 23-year veteran of the Army. She worked for around 5-6 years as a 3rd grade elementary school teacher. She is currently employed with the County Sheriff’s Office as an Administration Technician for Youth Services (YS) and the Special Victim Unit (SVU).
Shari’s accomplishments are too much to list here. She recently received nominations for two awards: the Phenomenal Woman Award and the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award. She appeared in the October issues of the international magazine Success2Success as well as the recently released “Black Diamond Chronicles.”
Success comes to those who embrace challenges. Shari worked really hard and overcame many challenges to become the lady she is today.
Since Shari has achieved outstanding success in her career spanning more than 3 decades, she has unquestionably emerged as a career role model. In the very competitive workplace of today, one way a career role model might help us is by offering guidance and support. Here are a few of Shari’s suggestions that might benefit the next generation of female professionals:
Believe in yourself, have a plan, and promote yourself and your business. Most importantly, stand behind your products and believe in what you are selling.
Always put God first. Be prepared for the different challenges and the disappointments that may come your way as well as learn from them. Believe in what you are doing and know that what you are doing matters. Surround yourself with good people, listen to constructive criticisms and leave all the others behind. Last thing, have fun, enjoy the journey and make the best of it.
